An American day camp in Madrid

The International Institute Summer Camp experience reflects the best practices of American day camps.  Campers experience a wide variety of physical activities in a fun, encouraging and safe environment. International games, cooperative learning and team building as well as unique and inviting movement-based activities keep all participants engaged, socializing and motivated to move and learn. Learning experiences take place on site at the International Institute as well as local parks and open spaces in Madrid consistent with campers’ age.

Campers engage in theater, visual arts, 3-D printing, and thematic activities. All activities are in English.  Students expand their vocabulary and rhetorical fluency as they refine their English pronunciation through constant interaction with American teachers who direct and guide them in exciting activities. Attention is consistently paid to language through play. Weekly library activities also enhance their reading skills.

Camp Boston at the International Institute provides a unique opportunity to stay active this summer in a uniquely fun environment while learning English.

Pioneers: 3-5

Juniors: 6-8

Tweens: 9-11

Seniors: 12-14

College Prep Summer: 15-17

College Prep Summer: This flexible program combines 10 days of TOEFL or SAT bootcamp intensive  test preparation with community service credit through volunteer experiences at the Institute community or beyond. 

Our College Prep Summer group may choose to only do the test prep module, or they may choose test prep plus community service.  Campers who complete four weeks of volunteer community service activities will receive an official,  personalized letter of completion that may be included in their college applications.

Drop-off at 9am and late pick-up at 3:30pm is available.
